About Me
Hello and welcome! I’m Jo, the artist behind Jo.Norris art.
My journey as an artist is deeply rooted in my love for the great outdoors, wildlife, and the rustic charm of rural life. Living and breathing everything countryside, I find endless inspiration in the quiet beauty of nature and the hardworking heritage of farming communities. Whether it’s the powerful presence of an apex predator, the gentle curiosity of a farm animal, or the rugged lines of a classic tractor, my goal is to capture the heart and soul of the subjects that define our beautiful countryside.
My Process
I specialize in creating highly detailed drawings using colored pencils and mixed media. I am fascinated by texture—the softness of a squirrel’s fur, the sleek coat of a galloping horse, the intricate mechanics of a vintage tractor, and, most of all, the expressive warmth in an animal's eyes. Every piece takes hours of patient layering to ensure that when you look at a print, you feel the same connection to the subject that I did while drawing it.
Through this website, I share high-quality fine art prints of my original work, allowing you to bring a piece of that countryside magic and nostalgic heritage into your own home.
Art with a Heart
For me, art is also a powerful way to give back to the community and support the causes that matter most. One project especially close to my heart is my "Vintage Rose" tractor print. The real-life vintage tractor was beautifully painted pink to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. To support this incredible mission, I donate 50% of all proceeds from every single pink tractor print sold directly to cancer research. You can follow the inspiring journey of the actual tractor on Instagram @little_pink_tractor.
Thank you so much for stopping by, supporting an independent artist, and being a part of this journey. I hope my artwork brings as much joy, warmth, and country charm into your home as it brought me while creating it.
