Hello there, and thank you for visiting my page! I'm Jo, an artist based in North Yorkshire.
My passion is creating realistic, personalised artwork that holds deep meaning for you. I pour my heart and soul into every piece. My work is based entirely on photographs, and I specialize in capturing the subject exactly as it appears, paying meticulous attention to fine detail.
I use a variety of materials to bring these images to life. For my highly detailed drawings, I often work with basic graphite pencils to capture shadows and light, and colour pencils to add vibrant, lifelike hues. For larger or more expressive pieces, I use acrylic paints. My goal is to create a true-to-life representation that you will cherish for years to come.
The power of art: One of my most meaningful experiences was drawing a portrait of a friend's dog who had recently passed away. When she saw the finished drawing, she was brought to tears, explaining that it felt like having her beloved companion back with her again. Knowing my realistic drawings can provide that level of comfort and connection is why I do what I do. Your interest in my work means a lot to me.
